Tidey Electrical Ltd was established in 1985 by the current owner Tom Tidey, based in Hertfordshire, their main focus was in the temporary Electrics industry.
Tidey’s have been instrumental in many large projects such Disneyland France, Limehouse link and MOD Collacation to name a few…Due to this extensive work, multiple offices and up to 80 engineers working for the company, prompting Wyseplant (part of the Bovis Construction group) to approach the business in 1993, with the sale of the company in 1994.
From then on Tom Tidey held the position of Wysepower Director for 2 years until deciding in 1996 that a new business venture installing Structured Data Cabling would be the right direction to take. With this in mind, Tidey’s have grown organically since then.
Partnering with large organisations such as Virgin Media Business where we look after Cambridgeshire County Council and Cambridgeshire Borough Council Data Infrastructure Cabling services. In 2012, Tidey’s were asked to support BT and LOCOG in the delivery of multiple London Olympic sites.
The business has held several large contracts with the government compromising Electrical, Data and Telecommunication services. This has lead to an important client base and increasing staff members, Tidey’s moved premises in early 2014 to Unit 7, Enterprise Centre, Stevenage.
